The Georgia Parent Survey was developed to measure parent perceptions of school climate at your child’s school. Your opinion is very important to us. If your children attend more than one Banks County School, please complete a survey for each school. The survey will be open until March 1st. Thank you for your time and participation.

Banks County Primary School and Banks County Elementary School will conduct a lockdown drill this morning, March 13th, 2024.

Please be assured this is a routine safety exercise and is being carried out in close coordination with the Banks County Sheriff's Office to ensure that our schools remain safe for our students, staff, and community.

Young Georgia Author Writing Competition Winners

Congratulations to the students recognized for their outstanding performance in the Young Georgia Author Writing Competition, a prestigious event sponsored by the Georgia Language Arts Supervisors and the Georgia RESA Network, aimed at encouraging a love for writing among Georgia's public school students from grades K-12. The competition celebrates student achievement in writing and the arts, encouraging them to develop their writing skills and enjoy the process of creating.

BCHS Registration 2024-2025 School Year

BCHS is gearing up for the 2024-2025 school year registration, starting with a Parent Preview on March 4 at 5:00 PM in the BCHS Auditorium. Students in grades 8-11 will choose electives from March 4-7, and Course Recommendation Packets are due by March 29. Parents are encouraged to meet with advisors between March 18-29 to discuss their child's course options.

At their February meeting, the Banks County Board of Education honored the Lady Leopard volleyball team for their outstanding season, which included advancing to the Sweet Sixteen in the state tournament for the first time and finishing with a 30-10 record.

Banks County High School Welcomes Chuck Butler as New Head Boys Basketball Coach

Banks County High School has appointed Chuck Butler as the new Head Boys' Basketball Coach, succeeding Ryan Griffin. Butler, who has previously served as an assistant principal at Banks County Middle School and has a strong background in coaching and educational leadership, is eager to start his new role and build on the legacy of Leopard Basketball. With over two decades of experience in education and coaching, including leading Jackson County High School to significant achievements, Butler aims to build on the team's culture of hard work, discipline, and positive attitudes within the team. He is optimistic about the team's prospects, focusing on assembling a dedicated staff and planning an effective offseason to enhance the team's strengths and compete for championships.
