Banks County Schools will provide an overview of ESOL services, ACCESS testing information and explain parent resources such as Adult English classes, parent surveys, and public library services.

The event will be held at Banks County Primary School's cafeteria. Childcare and pizza will be provided. Translators will be available.

During the December Board of Education Meeting, Banks County Primary student Clayton Smith, Banks County Middle School Softball, and Banks County Middle School Volleyball teams were recognized.

Banks County Board of Education and Area Sponsors recognized the 2022 REACH Scholarship recipients on December 7th this past week.

Mr. Mike Beasley was honored with the Pioneer in Education Award for his contribution and educational achievements at the annual Pioneer RESA Award banquet.

Banks County High School standout senior Troy Loggins was the featured speaker at the Banks County Rotary Club, which meets weekly.

Pioneer RESA's 6th Annual Parent Cyber Safety event, "A Parent's Guide to Raising Digital Natives" will broadcast on Dec. 6th at 8:00 pm.

Banks County School System Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins announced Asha Ravencraft, teacher at Banks County High School, as the Banks County School System Teacher of the Year on Monday night, November 14th.  In addition, Ravencraft was awarded $500 from Jackson Electric Membership Corporation. The system also recognized each schools Teacher of the Year and Classified Employee of the Year.

To Our Veterans:

Thank you so much for your service. We are disappointed that we were not able to host our scheduled Veterans Day programs because of the inclement weather. This day is one of the highlights of our school year. Our students, faculty, and community enjoy the opportunity to honor our Veterans-near and far. We are already planning for next year's celebration. For now, please enjoy the slideshow recognizing some of our heroes. Veterans, thank you again for your service and sacrifice for us!
