We are pleased to announce the appointment of Will Foster as the new Principal. With a history of dedication and service to the Banks County School System, Mr. Foster brings over a decade of educational experience to his new role, stepping into the leadership position with enthusiasm and a clear vision for Banks County High School.
Foster will take over the position when the current Principal, Mike Brown, retires at the end of the school year,
"I am extremely excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve as principal of Banks County High School," stated Foster.
Mr. Foster's journey in education spans thirteen years, with twelve of those years devoted to Banks County High School. Starting as a Special Education co-teacher, he later taught math. He then moved to the CTAE department, where he taught Business and Technology and was the FBLA advisor. He has served as the school's Assistant Principal and CTAE Director for the past three years. Foster's involvement in coaching tennis, cross country, and track and field showcases his dedication to student development beyond the classroom.
"What I love most about Banks County Schools is how we support students in all areas and then how those students pour back into the community. The positive relationships that are built between Banks County students, faculty, and staff pay dividends both in the classroom and once those students have moved on after graduation. This school system and community have shaped my life. Who I am today, and I know we are educating students who will positively impact our community in the future", shared Foster.
Foster appreciates the Banks County Board of Education and the Banks County School System leadership for the opportunity to lead Banks County High School. He adds that he is "thankful for Banks County High School students and staff, both past and present, who have guided, challenged, and supported me as an educator in the Banks County School System."
Superintendent Dr. Ann Hopkins stated, 'Will brings exemplary leadership qualities to this position as demonstrated while serving as Assistant Principal. He has a proven track record of fostering success and collaboration. He is genuine and fair and an integral part of this community. I believe his leadership will create a seamless transition and continue the great work at Banks County High School".
